ZeroCore
To make a long story short, I made a custom weapon in the CK, made weapon modification parts for it as well as matching recipes, I made a association keyword for them as well and also gave this to the weapon in its information, but when I go in-game and give my character the weapon, the weapon will not show up in my weapons list when I go to a weapon crafting station to modify it.I want to know why it won't show up, and what I can do to remedy this. My character has the weapon in their inventory, but it does not show up when I try to modify it in the weapon workbench.
robotized
Two things come to mind - the problem may be connected with Attach Parent Slot keyword, or Constructible Object for the modifications. I might be wrong, but If some of these is missing or there is some kind of mistake, you won't be able to modify the weapon at the weapon's workbench. I'd suggest just to look at existing weapons inside Fallout4.esm, like 10mm pistol or something else. It's a good example to learn from. Look carefully at the keywords, object mods and constructible objects for those mods.
SwagMaster42069
For anyone else having the problem, you need your mod association keyword on the weapon itself.
robotized
For anyone else having the problem, you need your mod association keyword on the weapon itself. That's only true if you added the Mod Association keyword to the object mod, but forgot to add it to the weapon. MA keyword won't do anything, if the weapon and object mods don't have the Attach Parent Slot keyword. If you have custom AP keyword, specifically created for your armor, it's not necessary to use MA keyword. The perfect examples for MA keyword use are in the vanilla files. Bethesda used same AP for all Misc mods, then added MA keywords to separate the mods for arm, leg and torso armor.
