Jracx
So I recently decided to get back into Skyrim. I updated the game through steam and then for fun tossed in a few dozen mods to make sure i got a different experience. Now for some reason the controller that I have previously been using on my last play through is no longer working. Usually it should just be the predominant interface when plugged in and as soon as I launched i would have control through the gamepad. Now for some reason it is completely ignoring it. I know the controller works because it still functions on other games. I updated the driver, and checked through the .ini to make sure gamepads were enabled, I also checked through the settings to see if there was an enable controller button but no dice. Now, I am completely out of ideas and came looking for suggestions. Any advice would be much appreciated.
steve40
Load up a savegame, hit [ESC], select SETTINGS, select GAMEPLAY, select 360 CONTROLLER. :whistling:
Sashasilvermoon
I would like an answer to this as well. I've done everything the OP said as well as what the other below him responded with. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled skyrim. Nothing works. The controller itself is picked up by my PC and any other PC it works just fine. steve40
If you are not using a genuine XBox 360 controller then you need to use an emulator (such as "xinput") to make your generic gamepad work with Skyrim.Xinput v3.0 seems to work very well with my Logitech Dual Action gamepad.
