dagowar
I noticed that the music file is just the Explore, Dungeon, City, and Battle folders with MP3s so by adding any MP3 i have to those folders it will play for me. I would like to know though if there is any way to create specific folders or files so that each city has different music giving it a unique feeling. Like Romanesque for the Imperial city, drums and Celtic/Nordic music for Bruma and that kinda stuff. If anyone knows whether i can just create a Subfolder and title it to fit the specific cities or whether it will require scripting and a lot more work i would appreciate any help. Vagrant0
No, Oblivion doesn't have this feature. The best thing we have is StreamMusic function, and that is kinda useless anywhere area transitions while music is playing is involved. Put simply, it does not allow the music to keep playing when the transition happens, which means that either the streaming song will cut out (to be replaced by normal music) or will start over again from the begining. Additionally, fairly complex scripting is needed to keep track of song durations, how often menus are opened, and when battle happens in order to either loop or select another song. This sort of thing is really only practical when you have a single, large environment, without anything to fight, pick up, use, talk to, that the player would likely be spending more than 3 minutes in... In short, nowhere.
