Must-have bug fixers

Recommended Posts

FixPacks:

DA Rules Fixpack

Qwinn's Fixpack v2.0

Dialogue Tweaks

Morrigan Restoration Patch Dialogue Fixpack for DT (w/updates and add-ons)

ZDF for MRP w/DT

Single Fixes:

Ancient Elven Boots

Damage Statistic Fix (this may be redundant, since one of the other FixPacks may have addressed this.)

BlackBlade Drop Fix (DAA bug)

Sigrun Law & Order (DAA bug)

Silverite Mine Bug Fix (DAA bug, and the mod is another of Terra_Ex's)

I've installed all these mods and as far as I know, only ZDF required me to delete 2 files from Dialog Tweaks. Is there anything else I should be concerned about? I have also already modified the DA Rules Fixpack via deleting Tweaks I don't agree with.

Yeah, I was a little worried about bumping such a dead thread. I kinda feel a little depressed that no one has (At least publicly) bothered to make a complete fix pack that encompasses everything. Qwinn and the Rule's Fix Pack seem pretty comprehensive, just a shame the authors have kinda dropped off the planet? Or moved on to other projects.

Also I haven't been paying much attention, but did Bioware ever release the neccessary components to easily mod the expansion pack?

I've been noticing some minor issues with this mod setup, Thandal. For example:

- Wade believes you've already spoken to him about the Drake Scales and will interject the shopkeeper with that "He's back; he's back! Have you reconsidered? I can make such fine armor with your scales!" speech even though you've never spoken about them to him before.

- I got 2 Ancient Elvin Boots from the Lothering Chantry when interacting with the appropriate storage container.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you confirm the above issues?

Interesting. BioWare may have finally (and silently) corrected the glitch that prevented the boots from appearing where they were supposed to in the Chantry. So if you also have the vanilla version of the mod installed there will be two pairs when you open the wardrobe.

And of course if you installed the Inventory-based version, a pair of the Ancient Elven Boots will spawn every time you click the tome "Where are my Boots?". So it's perfectly possible to receive multiples.

(Which version of the fix did you install, Vanilla, or Inventory?)

In any case, if a mod isn't needed any more just remove it. For this particular mod you can simply un-tick the box in the "Installed Content" menu. (Just remember to re-tick it if you discover you need it.)

As for Wade's conversations, I have no idea...

Out of all the mods we have in common, the Ancient Elvin Boots fix is the only one that is different. You use the version authored by Terra_Ex while I used the version that was made in response to claims that Terra_Ex's version no longer works (Made by a different author). And I can definitely confirm that Bioware didn't fix the issue themselves as initial looting of the container yielded no boots and when I applied the mod the container was lootable again and gave me 2 boots.

I didn't go for the inventory tome method as that just seemed a bit out of place and not at all engaging xD

Actually, while I do use several mods by Terra_Ex, and think his CharGenMorph Compiler is one of the absolute must-haves for any serious (modding) player, this Ancient Elven Boots mod was the work of Flamin Jesus (vanilla) and AND04 (inventory).
