ripple
I can't delete missing parent master from an esp using the CK. Strangely, highlight master record in listing, ctrl-del does not seem to work for me. Any ideas?
Eckss
The CK won’t allow you to delete a missing Masterfile, I don’t know if there’s a better method, but what I do is use Wrye Bash to re-assign the Masterfile to one that exists first. I don’t usually like using Wrye Bash because it’s not intuitive for me and too buggy, but this works:Open Wrye Bash, select the esp you want, on the left is a section labelled ‘Masters:’ In there, select the missing Masterfile, right click it, and change it to any Masterfile that you have in your Data folder. Then click the save button. In the CK you can then use Ctrl-Del to get rid of it. Eck. :)
Kurumu1337
I had the same problem, somehow I fixed it using tes5edit
ripple
Thanks Eckss. I didn't see your reply for the longest time. +kudos. I had the same problem, somehow I fixed it using tes5edit You can't actually use TES5Edit to delete a missing master, because it won't load the esp if a master is missing. Although I suppose you can create a ghost esp with the same name as the missing master just to get the dependent esp to load so you can remove the missing master. Never tried it...hm....
