Why does my horse still have armor after deleting Armored Horses?

Why does my horse still have armor after deleting Armored Horses? And why can't I find it again on Nexus or Steam?

Remove the .nif files the mod had.

I could guess those can be found under skyrim/data/meshes/actors/horses

 

You probably did manual install? and only removed the .esp which came with the mod?

 

That mod probably had some .nif files which replaced horses/some of the horses.

Thank you but yea I did that and still have armored horses, lol thats weird. If I could actually find it again on Nexus then I could make sure I got everything

Have you tried opening the console using this default key: ` (tilde)

Then click on the horse and type:

kill

resurrect

 

If that does not work:

click on the horse:

 

disable

(close console)

enable

 

Please post your results.

Probably didn't remove everything :biggrin:

 

Anyway, I suggest you simply start manually going through every subfolder.

 

Did you check your download history on Nexus?

OK i finally found it and examined the folder, so I deleted all the corresponding folders, now for some reason some of my horses are invisible except for the saddles??? So I unpacked the horse textures from my bsa files and put them in textures and still invisible??? I don't know whats up.

I've noticed that the ones that are invisible are the black ones.
