LE Mod request to silence Lucien Lachance

This man is literally impossible to have as a follower. You summon him once and never wanna summon him again. Even some of the most ABSOLUTELY legendary work done by Wes Johnson himself cannot save me from insanity when it's the same lines over and over. Which is a shame since Lucien Lachance is my favorite elder scrolls character, as he is to many others. He's such a fan favorite that I think this mod would be so beneficial for the whole community to have. So even if no one feels like creating this, i'll definitely be trying to make it myself for everyone once I can. Iâm also asking if the mod can be ported to the bethesda website to have this available for consoles.

 

I wouldn't just adjust his "energy" level to bring down the frequency of dialogue but adjust the frequency for each line based on context. For example, when in a city, he will repeat the same line about that city multiple times, I would allow him to speak about the city just once until you've left. For combat, his dialogue recurrence is fine, so I wouldn't touch that. And finally for just general commentary I would like him to talk very little, like a once in a blue moon "mute pack mule" kind of deal..during idle & quests he repeats himself so often it's near impossible to have him while questing since he talks over everyone, and AFT only helps so much.

 

Some extra thoughts were to add the option to silence him completely, but this would probably require making him into an actual follower. I would also increase his sneak ability SIGNIFICANTLY, and if there is a way, allow him not to speak while sneaking at all. If he were to become a follower I would also add the chance for him to say the "my listener?" line when you open up his dialogue. Lastly for optional additions I would increase the chances he idles with crossed arms/hands on his sides, I think it makes him stand out more and adds to his character.

 

The title of the mod could be something like "Lucien Lachance prefers silence" referencing the HOK saying nothing to his initial dark brotherhood proposal, to which he responds "You prefer silence, then? As do I, my dear child. As do I."

 

Also, i've been very fortunate to not have been impacted much by the epidemic. If you take the time to help me with this mod and need financial help please let me know (not PAYING for this mod, just wanting to do a nice thing for someone in a bad time and not feel completely useless, thanks.)
