This is amazing. I saw this thread last week and thought it sounded like fun! Just this morning my son came to me asking if I could help him make an Imp companion!! And you already have it done!

When I was thinking about it I presumed an object that can be activated might be less difficult to realise. In a pre-industrialised world that would be a music box etc. But you'll figure it out. :)

OK, well since you have SI, I'll start looking through objects I can use from there. But I want to keep Tarana as a Tamriel creature so I won't use anything that looks out of place in the world.

For the moment I'll try to keep it to Tamriel objects but there are possibilites with SI.

 

I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't mind looking for some suitable music. It has to be in wave format, but I can convert it anyway from other types if need be. It doesn't really matter how long it is either, I can cut it into smaller pieces.

 

I'm looking for something light and airy, if you get what I mean. Not a piece that would get annoying or grate on the nerves if you have to or want to play it more than once.

It would only be by activation anyway not something that plays all the time. It would get irritating then. :whistling:

 

It could also be a harp or lute, or a mandolin would work as well. Instrumental with no vocals preferably. Probably be like hen's teeth to find though. :sweat:

 

It also has to be public domain freeware or otherwise have permission to be used for any purpose.

 

This won't be a quick project though. I'll be doing it in conjunction with the pet shop I'm promising myself I'm going to make as soon as I get in the "zone" to actually make a start.

But it's not a problem, because I usually have several things going at once so I don't get bogged down with any one of them. :blink:

 

The Pet Shop will be in progress very soon though. I have a kind person who is making me a really nice sign for the entrance and I've chosen a location and name.
