nenina
Hey! I recently installed Windows 7. It forced me to choose custom install, and I thought this meant that the drive would be wiped. But all my files are there, including Fallout 3 in a custom folder. I tried to run it, but:The program can't start because xlive.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. If there is a way to get it running then that would be awesome, because this particular previous install had 90+ mods running flawlessly with no crashes. Is there a way? Edit:I got it to recognize the programs, but Fallout 3 doesn't know that it is already installed. Ah well, it was a shot. Maybe if I copy the entire folder, install Fallout 3, THEN copy the folder over it... Edited December 23, 2012 by nenina
FiftyTifty
Open the fallout 3 launcher, where it said 'play' it will now say 'install'. Click 'install'. The launcher will quickly hide and then show itself. Nothing has been overwritten and now it thinks it is installed.
