AsurasWraith
As soon as i installed NVSE and followed its instructions, I went to start the game. Main Menu loaded and i was able to play for a couple mins just to see if everything was right. After testing, i downloaded some UI Mods. After installing those, i cant go to the main menu. It just shows the NCR Rangers head then immediately goes to the loading screen and quickly into the games HUD as shown in this picture. I disabled all mods and this is still a problem. Also when it goes into this screen, the DLC seems to have reloaded too, giving me notifications that they are now active and giving me the standard prompts. Anyone help me. dubiousintent
Re: the UI mods. Please see the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article. (This takes some interpretation as applies to your situation. There are too many permutations for an "if A then B" type of guide. If you haven't encountered XML files before then the "TL;DR" section is not going to help by itself.) "Disabling" mods is not enough to restore things to "vanilla" if they overwrote any files. UI mods definitely do this, and can make "edits" to other existing XML files. You have to "verify local files" to restore the originals. Please see the 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' entry of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. As for the DLCs automatically loading: they each come with a "<DLCname>.nam" file installed in the game "Data" folder. (They are just a text file containing the name of the DLC.) Their mere presence is what causes the game to automatically load them even if not "enabled" in the "load order". Just rename the extension or move the file elsewhere. Then you can simply enable them manually in the "load order" when you are ready for them to load. But remember that you do need to enable them for mods requiring them or you will get 'Missing Masters' error messages. I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so. It is designed for someone who has never played a modded PC game before, so it tries to avoid making any assumptions, is kept "up-to-date", and covers years of "lessons learned".-Dubious- Edited April 30, 2020 by dubiousintent
