Wrye Bash malware?

I've posted in the program's comment section, but in hindsight I'm probably not going to get an answer for awhile, so I thought I'd post here and ask the same question.

 

I've downloaded Wrye bash and my antivirus has picked up something called "w9xpopen.exe". What is this? Is it safe?

With tens of thousands of people using Wrye Bash , that is most likely a false positive and there is nothing wrong with the program. If there really is a virus in Wrye Bash we would be seeing a lot of people reporting it. We are not seeing this.
