CalibanX
When my character gets her arm crippled, does this have a negative affect on her aim or chance to hit? I'm assuming it does, but I'm not certain. Does anyone out there know specifically what the negative affects are from getting one's arms, torso or head crippled? Obviously, one can immediately see the crippled run animation when the leg is crippled, but what about the other body parts?
Sabat9
well when your head is crippled, your vision goes all blurry every so often. it's disconcerting enough to be an effective negative. not sure about the arm, might affect 2h melee, but i can't say i've ever really noticed. Guest
A crippled head will occasionaly blur your vision and it reduces your Perception a bit. Crippled arms throw off your aim, and might reduce melee damage, but I'm not certain on that. And I believe a crippled Torso makes it easier to get knocked over. NephilimNexus
All damage to arms and/or head affects accuracy, whether it is crippled or not. At least on the PC. I have never noticed any detrimental effects on aiming accuracy for wounding NPC arms/head, other than them dropping their weapons if you cripple their limb. Crippling damage to legs causes a minor reduction in speed to NPCs. As far as the PC goes, frankly your armor type will have a far more profound effect on your speed than any amount of damage (for instance, Wasteland Wanderer and the Armored Vault Suit allow good speed but Vault Security Armor will slow you to a snail's pace). And yes, head damage to the PC makes everything fuzzy. Crippling head damage to an NPC, if not fatal, will cause them to go through a "headache" animation, which buys you more time to kill them off if nothing else.
