I have deleted my entire skyrim folder, did a clean reinstall, killed all of the INIs etc.. still low textures even though it set to high. anyone know what could be causing this? FrozenFeather
If you have Nvidia card and you have set from there quality setting it causes issues since game wont then change it's own quality when it's forced to use nvidias setting. For nvidia issue fix depending if you have such thing: nvidia setting -> 3D settings -> Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings, search for texture filtering and set it to Quality oruse global settings tab and restore to set factory/clean set of nvidia settings, however this removes all possible sets you have made for games on nvidia panel which is small setback to get something work. Then you have to delete these files from my games/skyrim: RenderInfo, Skyrim & SkyrimPrefs ini's, last thing to do is justuse game launcher set optimal frame rate/quality for your gaming. Dweedle
I wonder if skyrim is picking up the wrong render info, because I honestly dont know why its doing this. Its not doing it with any other games.. its an AMD by the way. I have used the game launcher to change the settings, for some reason the options have changed though too as it is not letting me set anti-aliasing anymore. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to cope, I dont know why this is happening but.. ah well... guess it could be worse.
