DarkSpyda04
Hello, I am DarkSpyda04 and I'm new to modding Oblivion. What was it, when I first got my Xbox 360 ESIV Oblivion was the first game I got. I still remember asking for Oblivion and the store clerk's remark was YES, awesome choice. For years on end I burned through over 1000+ saves and this is when I autosaved 20x more than I saved manually using the wait system and tapping B before any hours passed. I explored everywhere and did everything, including ascending the white-gold tower using paintbrushes only to discover that you fall right through because there's no collision detection that high up. However with all the fun I had, there were always things I could never ever do such as dress my character in more modern wear such as youtube videos expressed. Now I have myself a PC copy of the game in my hands and I know absolutely nothing about modding Oblivion. I've modded and own a copy of Resident Evil 2, however but I'm sure there are many differences between modding a game from 1998 and modding a game from 2006. The first thing I want to do is set up a custom character that I've been planning based on a Sims 2 character that I created many years ago. I have 3Ds Max 2011 but despite the capacity to model this, I'm terrible at character modelling. Where would I start on my journey into Oblivion modding? Oubliette
First, I'm not male. Second you might want to look here for some information on how to mod Oblivion. Third, enjoy your modding

The controls are a bit clunky but it works. I'm actually browsing the webpage with the controller right now XD
DarkSpyda04
Alright, I've already gone ahead and started... experimenting as you could say in my feeble atempts to get Alecu's "Digital Girl" mod to work and look as shown in the image provided in the mod description. One thing I tried doing was replacing the Diablo Elf 6 head with the four digital girl files; the result wasn't what I was looking for but it was overall better than expected even in the event that it wasn't what I had forseen. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be the very default digital girl head and was edited for the mod description or wether I figured something out but I ended up with something that looks like Imogen Boorman as she played a starring role in Hellraiser II. I've marked my progress with screenshots: First, I started with the popular Diablo Elf 6 mod Then I took Alecu's four digital girl files and replaced four of DiabloEF head mesh files. Then I deleted the DiabloEF "ears" folder and edited the DiabloEF Moon&Diablo face texture. Final image as a playable character with MicheTES's bare shoulder dress Not bad for a first mod. I'm also having a blast playing these mods. I downloaded the tdas Pyramid Head Mod uploaded by the_devils_avarcardo and I'm running back from the stairway to hell with him hacking at my heels the entire way up. Finally when I get back to the ritual room I have Divine Avenger and Jimmyoneshot's companion Sephiroth waiting for him and two seconds later I see Sephiroth's body flying across the screen with text saying "Sephiroth is unconcious". Pyramid Head chased me all the way back to anvil and I was only lucky enough that he wasn't allowed within city gates or everyone would have been dead. This kind of thing you definetly can't experience on console. Edited December 27, 2012 by DarkSpyda04
