Invisibility broken (and I can't figure out why)

A small problem really not game-breaking but mildly annoying sometimes. Whenever I cast invisibility spells or drink the potion (I have not yet tested the Nightingale Armor option but arguably it shall be broken as well) the animation plays but I remain visible regardless.

 

I'm at a loss as to what is causing this though.

 

Yes => I have a ****load of mods but nothing game-breaking so far otherwise. Magic on the whole and potions work fine otherwise. Most mods are graphic (CBBE, meshes and stuff, ENB, WATER, etc) and some gameplaywise (SkyRedone, ACE BYOG, G.E.M.S. mods etc). I haven't installed mods such as Midas or other magic enhancing mods. The problem was present before installing SkyRedone though some new spells also seem not to work entirely as they should.

 

- is there anyone who can off the tip of their tongue guess what could commonly break the 'becoming invisible'

- any ways of checking what might be causing the issue. I use NMM to install all mods.

- I use FNIS (need it for a running with bow mod) and I have FNIS spells enabled

1. Open your plugins.txt in a text editor. plugins.txt is found in your local application data folder. On Windows Vista/7, this is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Skyrim\plugins.txt.

 

Then copy/past here, and enclose in a spoiler tag like so (without the spaces):

I can't really tell what might be causing the non-invisibility invisibility issue you are seeing, but I can see a few things based on your load order:

 

1) use BOSS to set your load order.

 

2) Jaysus sword was made using TESVSnip. It needs a patch made by someone else to run nicely with the latest version of Skyrim. When you run BOSS, it will tell you the same thing and the name of the JSword patch you need to download.

 

3) You need a Bashed Patch or a merged patch (TES5Edit) to reconcile the leveled list conflicts from the 'add more stuff to NPCs' mods you are using. Don't think about it, it's not optional any more for such a load order. Just go download Wrye Bash and read up on how to create a Bashed Patch. I don't think ReProccer is mature enough to completely displace the need for a Bashed Patch yet. And the ReProccer plugin should definitely not be loading that high in the load order, again, just use BOSS. If BOSS doesn't recognize the plugin, you would need to use TES5Edit to check the esp and see if there are any conflicts with the other esp's in your load order. Absolutely do not simply let them load after your compatibility patches.

 

4) to track down the culprit for the non-invisibility invisibility bug, disable your mods in groups, and keep doing it until you refine your search and identify the esp causing this,

 

5) last potentially weird thing I noticed:

I don't use companion mods (I use UFO and my own cosmetic edits to NPCs) so I don't know this mod. But according to the mod readme, are you suppose to use all of those plugins or just one version? I don't know, I am just flagging it in case you didn't notice.
