Combat Dialogue Distance

Does anyone happen to know how to change how far away combat dialogue can trigger?

It appears to only trigger a certain distance away from the player and is not affected by the where the free camera is located. Is there any way to extend that distance?

That's a game setting. In the creation kit, under GamePlay tab click on Settings. Search for fCombatDialogue, there's a bunch of distance settings there that you can change.
