Kanalin Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 So I was thinking of changing the small guns and energy weapons skills to Pistols and Rifles respectively, as energy weapons have barely any different types of guns and small guns have loads. Plus, I'd rather have the choice between a gunslinger or a marksman, as opposed to the existing choice between energy weapons/small guns. My question is, because I'll have to change the respective 'skill' for every gun in the game, is there an easy way to copy the weapon data from Fallout.esm or just change one variable [in this case the weapon's "parent" skill, the 'variable weapon skill type'] without re-writing all of the other information such as DATA and suchlike? BulletSix Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 c&p in Tessnip works, but only from an eiontry in a esp/esm to zje parent level of another. So you can loat the fallout3.esm and then load the empty.esp (an empty mod-file from neuxus). Then you select the "weap" (may be ab it different) group, copy, select the empty.esp (no group, just the top-level) paste.
