Improving GECK's Performance

veng

Recommended Posts

I've noticed when I crack open mods it "stutters" when I select large amounts of objects. Sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes for GECK to load after selecting over 30 or so things.

Is this going to happen regardless of what I do, or is there some way I can change settings to allow the program to draw more of my laptops resources?

I am using an Asus G75V.

What I am trying to do is strip a player made house like DanTheGeek's Underground Hideout removing everything except the things like the weapon sorters, and add them to my own house.

Is there possibly something much simpler that I could be doing instead?

If all you want is a sorter system, take a look at Sortomatic. You just enable Sortomatic when you go to work on your mod, and use the Sortomatic items (all prefaced by Tuna in GECK) to add containers and other to your house. Once done, ensure that you have an MSC, IQM, and HI in the house, and the whole system will work. Full sorter functionality, supports mod items and all with no real work on your part. PM me if you have any questions.
