KnightRangersGuild Posted December 28, 2012 Share Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) I kept getting an error in CK that says something like this..... "Temp file "My Mod Here.tes" contains saved data. MASTERFILE: Unable to complete operation due to failure removing previous file. Then it says something like this.... Plugin "My Mod Here.esp" may be locked or read only." and It would not let me save. So I tried to delete it in the start menu and it just crashes out and doesn't delete. Anyone know why it's doing this? I guess I can just manually remove it from the file folder but I want to check here first. I've never had this issue before and need to know why it's doing this. Thank you for any help. Just tried to remove it from the folder and it won't even let me, it says the file is open in Skyrim. steve40 Posted December 28, 2012 Share Posted December 28, 2012 It sounds like you are trying to edit a mod while Skyrim is running (and using that mod).If Skyrim is running, open the console and type FCF, then you should be able to save your mod. Thank you very much for your help though. It was some sort of phantom instance of it running because it didn't say it was running in my task manager.
