Pipboy screen saver

Has anyone noticed how PipBoy 3000 does not have that neat screen saver as seen in Pipboy 2000 in original fallouts? (you know, the one with falling bombs) I know this is probably really trivial compared to other mods being discussed, but still.

 

I'm not much of a modder (thought I intend to learn one day), but can it ever be modded in?

Thats exactly what I'm thinking also. I wonder if it would be hard to do? In my understanding, character screen (pipboy) in this engine pauses the game completely, so it wouldnt be easily done. Still it would be an awesome mini-mod that I'm sure many old timer fallout fans would like.
