Noobe hasTesc questions

These Modifications are for my sole use. I want a house outside of town. I chose grid -19,6 and flattened a spot to about a 20 diameter, or a little larger. After that I coppied skingrad fighters guild exterior and dropped it dead center. I then coppied all its interiors. I only gave the doors unique names. I linked the exterior door to the interior entry, that works. I can enter and exit at the right points.

1. First question when I enter from the exterior my door still says skingrad fighters guild. How do I make it read for example: Willowleaf Estate ?

A: Do I need to change the ID or just rename something else like the door?

I am asking this because I am new to the game and Tesc. Iam still learning the terminology. My wiki and forum searches dont turn up any thing for me.

The next thing I would like to know is; how do I remove grass?. I want to landscape my lawn. I have grass growing through my door steps, even though I retextured.

And last of all, how do I stop the fighter guild actors from appearing?

Thanks for any pointers :thanks: Even if you can just get me on topic so I can google properly.

After I get these solved I plan to gutt the interiors and add my own furnature, displays, lighting, chests ect.

I plan on doing one more home for my self after this one. I will probably find a little larger interior, with a better layout though.

You need to rename the interior space, it has the ID but then a name. If you just copied and linked, you might not have changed the inner name (well i guess you couldnt have in this case.

Getting rid of textures...get into the landscap editor, set the radius to about the size of problem area, opacity 100% and then se tthe texture to the default. this will take away the grass.

As for the fighter's guild people I have no idea. Oh wait...if you just copied, then you copied EVERYTHING in it...so that it legit is another fighters guild. Everything in it belongs to the fighter's guild by the way. You would have been better off duplicating the mesh of the guild, renaming it, and then copying just the rooms of the interior and then filling to your liking.

Hope this was helpful

feel free to oh i dont know...click my dragons or something (so they can grow)

I did something similar on my first shop mod. I copied the interior of Stonewall Shields. Then later, when I entered the actual Stonewall Shields, there was no floor because changes I had made in MY shop affected the original. I had to go back and redo the whole thing.

Thanks for the Wiki bben46 :) . I did duplicate the interior cells and my esp was active. It just took me a while to realize that I could rename them in cells panel. I was renaming in the render view. I wonder does renaming the cell clear ownerships. I cleared them in the render by editing.

This is the part I didnt do.

12. Now that we have found the display room, we need to make a copy of it for our house. Right click the display room cell, then click "duplicate". a new cell will appear below the display room named "anvilbenriusmanordisplayroomCOPY001". click on the copied cell and wait for a second, and it will turn blue. Type a new name for it (i used "yourhomedisplayroom") and hit enter. now your newly named cell will be right under the original display room cell.
