perturbed Posted May 11, 2020 Share Posted May 11, 2020 Does anyone know of an easy way to remove the vampire fangs from a downloaded follower? I have nifscope, andI tried replacing the mouth mesh from one follower's chargen head (no fangs) into that of the one I wanted to replace using the remove branch and paste branch functions, but using the new chargen mesh caused my game to crash. Could I use NPC nifmerge to try to do the same thing - just use a source chargen mesh of a non-vampire NPC and a destination chargen mesh of the vampire follower, only check the mouth mesh and the "merge child node" box, and hit merge? If you use Nifmerge to merge a non-fang mouth into the facegen head of a vampire character with fangs, the fangs go away. But the texture path for the teeth is moved along with the mouth mesh, so you have to may have to go into Nifskope to redirect the textures, if needed. I don't know for sure if this works in reverse, if for example you wanted to put fangs onto an NPC using a head mesh of a vampire character as a source, but I would think that it would. And maybe because my source and target is within the same multiple followers mod, changing or redirecting the textures path won't even be necessary.
