666hirvi666
Hello. Don't know if any of you have this problem, but every time I un-holster some of my two-handed rifles (such as This Machine and Grenade rifle/launcher) the gun's trigger disappears into thin air. Only if I re-equip the weapon on my back does the trigger appear again. Also, my grenade launcher has a grenade mesh stuck in the weapon stock every time I equip or reload the gun. I have YUP and NVSE unofficial patch. I originally suspected some mod causing this but I disabled all of my mods and the problem persisted. I also searched my meshes folder and did not find any replacement files for two-handed rifle animations, so it can't be that either. I don't remember if this problem existed in vanilla game and don't remember seeing it before. Please help, the problem is not game-breaking but it is a very annoying one. I can post load order or pics if you need some.
dubiousintent
Taking a "shot in the dark" (which is all we can do with a general description of symptoms), I'm guessing you have a "body replacer" installed. What you describe sounds like a texture/mesh misfit with that particular animation. Most body replacement meshes are meant to be used with separately published textures and their UV maps, because they usually have a skeleton and/or bone weighing which is somewhat different from vanilla. Hand placement around the trigger is often an issue, especially with modded weapons which typically are based upon the vanilla body. Depending upon your mod manager, "disabling" a mod will not restore vanilla files which were overwritten. You have to ensure the mod files are removed from the "Data" folder. Because "Texture/Mesh" replacement mods replace vanilla versions of those files, you absolutely have to toggle "ArchiveInvalidation (AI)" off-and-then-on again after installing or removing one of them so it recognizes that there are loose files (added by the mod) which have to be used in place of the vanilla files in the BSA files or are no longer there and the BSA files should be used instead. That failure to toggle is the most common reason behind most "texture problems". This is usually evidenced by red "!" icon for missing meshes, and solid colors for missing textures, or "messed up" textures. This "ArchiveInvalidation" mechanism is incorporated in all the currently used mod managers, so there is no need to (and problems arise if you do) install older mods to provide that capability. ONLY USE ONE METHOD of AI, especially if you have multiple mod managers installed. Otherwise they will conflict, as they use their own "arbitrarily chosen" names for the AI BSA files. (There is not a standardized name used among them all.) Please see the 'ArchiveInvalidation (by Manager)' section and also see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. Hope that gives you something to proceed on.-Dubious-

I'll try to dig around my mesh files to see if there's anything that could possibly cause it.
666hirvi666
One thing I noticed is that the trigger comes temporarily back when changing ammo. When the reload is done, the trigger sort of moves back into the weapon's stock so it's not visible anymore. I noticed this with This Machine and both grenade rifle. With grenade launcher, as I've mentioned, after the grenade is loaded it gets visibly stuck onto the launcher's stock in a similar fashion. Could this be animation related? Even though I deleted my mesh and texture folders and disabled all mods and did archive invalidation I still had the bug. EDIT: I asked my friend (who has a completely unmodded game) to spawn This Machine and equip it and he had the same problem! So it seems to be not caused by any mods. What's weird is that I could not find anyone with the same problem on the internet :S Edited May 12, 2020 by 666hirvi666
dubiousintent
When the influences of a removed mod seems to persist, try "verify local files". As mentioned, "disabling" mods doesn't always work (depending upon the mod manager used. Check it's documentation as to how it works with "overwrites"). Uninstalling a mod from the game Data folder may be required, followed by "verify local files" to ensure the vanilla files are restored. In the worst case situation, completely re-installing the game may be required. And yes, if you are using any replacement animation files it is always possible that they are the cause of what you are seeing. The specific interactions can get complex. -Dubious-

I'm starting to belive it is not mod-related problem. I looked trough internet for pictures/videos of This Machine and I'm pretty confident those had the same bug as I do.
