bben46
I wonder why i cant find this mod on the nexus mod side. Because we do not allow anyone except the original author, or someone they have given permission to upload their mod on The Nexus. Taking someone elses mod and posting it on some other site is not just stealing, but extremely disrespectful to the author who should have some control over where his mod is uploaded. This is not just an ego thing. They can only support their work on the sites where they uploaded it. It is possible this author chooses to not upload his work to The Nexus. If so, we will respect his wishes and not host it here. Uploading someone elses work with the disclaimer 'credit goes to the guy that made the mod' doesn't really give them any real credit at all. Real credit comes with the number of downloads and endorsements under their name on the mod - not with some one else listed as poster.

ripple
Oh ok. But did you know whos the original author of this mod? It looks like it might be a compilation of cosmetic mods. If you search for 'argonian' or just look through the cosmetic mods category, you'll probably find all of stuff compiled into that 'mod' you linked and more. In addition to what bben said, there are good reasons to download from a site hosting uploads directly from the original authors. Mods are often updated with bug fixes or compatibility patches for other mods or official game patches. These 'compilation packs' that are put together and uploaded without permission of the original authors will just make it more difficult for you to keep track of the updates, because you won't even know whose mod you downloaded, whereas on the Nexus, all you have to do is to 'track' a file and you will be informed of any updates in the tracking center. Unlike the authorized compilation mods you sometime find on Nexus, these unauthorized compilation mods are often put together by amateurs who have no clue about mod conflicts, do not have the benefit of a community of veteran mod users looking through the mod for bugs, and the compilations then end up producing their own bugs. It's just not worth it. Better to get it straight from the source, so if you encounter issues installing the mod or need help, you can ask the author directly or request assistance from the community here.
