TygerxEyes
I know there are several ways to do what I am attempting to do, but I had a rather specific question about using a Merged PlugIns. In my load order, I have a number of village expansions that can be merged into a single collection using Merged Plug-Ins. In my particular case, I have Trade & Barter loaded earlier in the load order than my city-town-village expansions including Keld-Nar. If I was not attempting to consolidate ESPs, I would not worry and just create a patch (as image below shows); however, that would exclude Keld-Nar by virtue of the patch and the extensive nature of Trade & Barter. I was, however, thinking that since it is a single tiny change... could I not just create a modified version of Keld-Nar in one of two ways: (a) Deleted the conflicting reference in Keld-Nar so there is no conflict or (b) created a Keld-Nar which is dependent on Trade & Barter by simply adding the Trade & Barter information directly into Keld-Nar (not patching)... as a result, I could include the modified Keld-Nar into the collection of villages where I merge the ESPs into a single one using Merged PlugIns as there would no longer be a conflict. Obviously, I would mark that Keld-Nar to indicate it is modified. Oh, and all of the other villages are independent and without patches. Again, I know that there are other options or I could just leave the village out of collection and just have one more ESP, but part of this is educational and trying different methods of resolving things as I mod... so I was asking about this to learn as well as consider. In any case, I was wondering whether it would work and/or which method would be the better... seems to me deleted reference would be better option. Thanks, in advance, for any advice... ~TE~
