TheAngryMongoose
This is a bit of a predicament I have managed to get myself into. I was doing the quest for Crassius and eventually he sent me to this guy called Odral Helvi, I continued to do the quests for this guy, (always letting Crassius inrevene) until I reached the quest about the shipment of ebony, somehow, i had managed to kill the guy I was supposed to be sent to, he said he'd have to get another contact. He never did much as I expected but he also is stuck asking me to do that quest when I ask about business. Frustrated I went to another person that would give me business (because crassius wont stop teling me to finish the quests with the guy I'm stuck with) and amazingly, I had killed the person I had to deliver some sealed documents to. Now I'm completely stuck with these people and was wondering if there is any way to fix this. If not, do I have o start over in order to complete the main quest because if I remember correctly I have to be the horator of this house in order to talk to vivec! cmac
1) Stop killing important people for no good reason 2) Look up their IDs in the CS (Check the dialogue if you can't remember their names) and use the PlaceAtPC console command to add them to the game. 3) Remember, you can always report Odral Helvi to the Imperial at Fort Buckmoth. He'll arrest Helvi, and you won't have to do any more of his quests. Don't forget to steal Helvi's books from his locked chest- you'll need them in a later quest from Ilmeni Dren. Drinar Veryon (one of those people I killed) acctually attacked me, I was doing an imperial quest to get evidence that he was a smuggler and when I was sneaking he saw me pick the evidence up and he attacked me... P.S. How do I go about reporting Odral Helvi to the Imperial at Fort Buckmoth.
Malchik
Becoming Hortator has little to do with Great House quests. You can become Hortator without belonging to any great house. So if you have problems proceeding with the Hlaalu quests it won't matter. Also, AFAIK, when you become Hortator, if you talk to Duke Dren about the Camonna Tong he will promaote you to Grandmaster in House Hlaalu whether you are a member or not (and you can even be a member of another house). You may have to do a couple of quests for him but I'm not even certain you have to do that. The first time he says it, you actually start at the bottom in Hlaalu. The glitch thus enables you to play all the quests in two houses without any mod. I believe the name of the guy you need to see in Fort B is Sergunivus Mantedius, he is just inside the main door and to the left.
