sandtwister200 Posted May 15, 2020 Share Posted May 15, 2020 (edited) Hi all, I have a problem wherein New Vegas the hunting rifle and assault rifle have incorrect/missing textures. The problem with the assault rifle started today, and the hunting rifle a few months ago. I've reinstalled the game, original BSA textures, uninstalled mods that are possible and worked with archive invalidation. My load order and photos have been attached. I'm using mod limit fix, enboost, 4GB patcher, NVTF, etc. Any advice or help appreciated. They count against the "plugin cap"(see [[#Smaller_Plugin_Cap|Smaller Plugin Cap]]) because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems. Please see the wiki "Missing Masters" article if you get that error message. * If you have more than one mod that makes any change to the same record or set of records in the vanilla game, then you really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. When in doubt, create a "Merge Patch" file for your overall "load order" anyway.Re: "If someone as well knows of a way to to view which mods conflict and modify which assets that'll help a lot." You want FNVEdit (aka "xEdit" and "TES5Edit"). PLEASE read the documentation, but in overview you load your entire "load order" into FNVEdit, then search on the records you want (e.g. "hunting rifle") and look in the right hand pane for the columns which show all the mods changing the same record, in the order in which they make those changes. The "Rule of One" still applies. -Dubious- Hi, Thanks for your reply. Unfortuantely even when trying to use FNV edit to find a possible culprit nothing worked. I'm going to have to try to remove the entire texture and meshes folder (make a backup obviously) and then see if that works, If it does it'll slightly narrow down the issue to textures and meshes where I'll hence have to spend a lot of time checking which file is playing up.
