Mod Pop-Up Issue

So when I try to start a new game, I'm getting a pop up asking what system I'm playing on. But I'm unable to pick an option, as my mouse cursor disappears, and keyboard input doesn't seem to work either. I found an old post with he same issue, that mentioned Sjel Blad castle possibly being the trouble maker, but there was not definitive answer on that thread. Wondering if anyone has any ideas? And if it is Sjel Blad that causes said pop-up, how can I get around it? Other people seem to be using the mod.
