Whats up lately?

Or maybe I'm to lax and my idea of starting an argument doesn't involve telling the truth.

This is the second time you've mentioned something with a similar message.

I think the best course is to always speak the truth, you can speak the truth without being unnecessarily harsh. I personally would prefer honesty rather than try to figure out what passive aggressive intention underlies a pack of lies, or even half-truths that only serve to confuse the issue and everyone.

Honesty really is the best policy.

I personally prefer the truth as well. It can be put into polite words and this is exactly what I start missing more and more. Not only here but at many (virtual) places. I am also open for criticism, as long as the tone is the right one. And all I can try is doing that myself and then hope for an answer which will be of the same kind. In germany we have this saying "The sound comes back to you the same way that you shouted it into the forest." :) Just so many people give a poo lately. I know, this place has a lot of people with different backgrounds and a lot of us sure have a hard real life with lots of serious problems and I include myself here... But I still know how to be nice to other people. This involves being honest as well. :)

Mavrosh, I could be wrong about this, but I think people who have lived harder lives, generally tend to be deeper, and kinder than those who've been coddled in the world.

I also say thank you! Actually I can give that back.

You know what is really interesting? Me as a female gamer show a lot of male flesh and in other places I have been flamed for that a lot. Believe me. Here nothing of that has happened, maybe it will in the future and maybe it won´t. I find that a lot of users here do not know how to behave but they do accept my kind of work. Now this is at least something. I see though how they behave towards others and it just makes me mad. :ermm:

Well, this was probably mentioned already (I only skimmed the posts) but one reason could be anonymity...anonyminitity... anonyminininity... whatever! I don't mean to sound stereotypical here but if someone knows that there is nothing you can do about what they're saying they'll probably say it. I'm sure everyone has been guilty of this at least ONCE during their time online. You think "they can't do anything so I'll be a jerk just this once." I'm sure I have, and I'm sure others have whether or not they'll admit it.

People 'act' different on the net. Personally, I'm more talkative in Ventrilo with friends that I've never seen in real life before than I am with friends I've known since we were knee high to a grasshopper. For others, they can be complete !@#$%^ just because they know the only thing that can happen to them is their restricted access to this site, or another site. Heck, look at WoW for example (I've nothing against this game mind you) but there is a great deal of people that play the game and just act like !@#%$ to every else, cause there is NOTHING you can do about it that'll make them regret it. Those same people, however, I bet would never even consider saying half the stuff they do to your face.

To sum it all up, the net can be a good place, but just like a dark-chocolate alleyway in a city made of milk-chocolate, there can be bad candies hiding just waiting to give you a toothache! (Talk about sugar-coating the truth, eh? :D)
