ArmyAJC
I've been having a problem with a few mods, small problems but noticeable. I've done some reading and digging around to figure out which mods are causing the issues and how to fix it, however I'm not quite sure or just having found it so I'm asking for some help to fix these issues. One is some textures (not many, but enough to be noticeable) are not loading and leaving that solid bluish color on the certain meshes. I don't know which mod is causing this, all I can think is the SMIM cause that's really the only mod I have that effects terrain and objects, but I don't know why it's causing this, I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no fix and the same objects are always without texture. The second is with the characters, I have the seam between neck and body. It is off color and just doesn't blend anyway. I've read that this is cause when body and head mods don't match, now I have the CBBE body installed but I didn't install a head mod so I don't know what to install or how to fix this. I will included pictures and really appreciate help to correct these issues and continue my game, thanks everyone. https://imgur.com/NnlYxCT https://imgur.com/3RRSiaJEnable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connectionor reload the browserDisable in this text fieldEditEdit in GingerEdit in Ginger× Edited May 19, 2020 by ArmyAJC
anjenthedog
Missing textures from vanilla assets can be fixed using Bethesda/Steam's integrity checker. (not sure who the actual author is, I haven't had to use it yet myself) Other missing textures would usually be an issue with the mod(s) providing them. It's possible in that case that reinstalling the affected mod(s) might solve that. Edit: I'm sure there are other causes too, I just don't know what they are Seam issues are often associated with people forgetting to build their hands and feet (wrist and ankle seams) after building a body, or apply the wrong body texture to a character that uses a different texture for the head elements. When I work on characters that include custom textures, I replace only the mesh, the skeleton when and where needed, and I merge any texture alterations to the original custom texture the character came with. I have seen this happen when applying a jslot (Ie, "racemenu preset") to replace faces on occasion. When I do, I just move on to the next choice, as I'm not savvy enough to manually fix those kinds of mismatched source problems. Also beware of applying race specific changes to another race's face. it can cause some buttugly faces only a mother could love.
