My main gripe about the "other 2" games is the inventory and how difficult and time consuming it is to do anything.

You can see that they were made with consoles in mind for all those lemon heads that are incapable of using a mouse and keyboard and should be immediately shot at dawn for thinking the X-box is superior.

Loved Morrwind and still mod it/ play it (as does the wife)

Oblivion sucked

Skyrim is great but a few things tick me off;

Inventory, too many mountains, no levitate! Way too much talking and the biggest problem of all: Hard to mod because of the lack of good voice actors available to all us modders :(

I personally believe Morrowind to be the best of the 3. Oblivion I could pick up and play at anytime and it would be fun and all, but severely lacking.

Skyrim looks amazing and is a lot of fun to play. But, the thing about both of those is the story. I always felt like something was lacking in most

of the Oblivion and Skyrim plots (most). But, when I played Morrowind it took a little bit to get into

it but once you get in the story is incredible.

Also, as mentioned before, far more true freedom in my opinion.

When I first played Morrowind, it was like a dream, the best ever. Just like, Grand Theft Auto 3 and SA. I could be who I wanted and do what I wanted, weat cloths over armor and wear all combanations of it. I soon became disapointed with so few weapons and creatures, but this was ok as I discovered uniques finaly.

Now here comes Oblivion. I began playing and everything was grand. Soon, all too soon I acually began to get bored and lost that excitment I felt with Morrowind..and still feel. Why I dont know, as noted above graphics are good with Oblivion but the game play lacks compared to Morrowind; the fact I cant put on my expensive robe over my armor takes away that much.

Did anyone else feel everything in Morrowind was more ancient and epic feeling compared to Oblivion?

I got my account suspended for a week over at the official forums for suggesting Oblivion was Morrowind for children, needless to say the fanboys went into full rage mode. I stand by what I said though, everything was dumbed down to cater for those who didn't want to think, who wanted everything handed to them on a plate and those who were terrified of failure. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun game if you want to go around hitting things over the head for an hour or so and it did have some memorable characters but it's not even in the same universe as Morrowind. As for Skyrim, pretty but dull and vacuous, I didn't feel part of the world and thus couldn't care less about it.

Morrowind Is very free and you have multiple choices you can do to solve a problem

Oblivion had less of it and was more linear but the interactions were just as great as in Morrowind's

Skyrim is as linear as W1-1 in Super Mario Bros. and is more like go here do this and come back and is in my opinion the weakest in the series.

I'm one of the few who actually prefers Oblivion over Morrowind.

The introduction of lod, action based combat, and a real physics system improved Oblivion in many nuanced ways. And unlike Skyrim, Oblivion kept most of what made Morrowind great, such as torches that are actually necessary in dark dungeons, spellcrafting, and a fully open landscape (unlike Skyrim's which is blocked off by mountains).

If I was going to rate them for personal preference, it would be Oblivion, Skyrim, then Morrowind.

I will point out, however, Morrowind is from 2002, and it was years ahead of its time, unlike Oblivion and Skyrim. The fact that people are still comparing Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim objectively is a testament to how far ahead Morrowind was for its time compared to the sequels.
