LadyGronak Posted January 3, 2013 Share Posted January 3, 2013 I would say the spellbreaker it's the only thing i found really usefull from time to time, ofcourse there is also Mehrunes razor that is a nice weapon but eventually you find a better dagger and i just drop it in some display case with the rest. Oh and the ebony mail also fun except when you answer a brawl, start poisoning an innocent and the guards get mad.For the other artifacts i don't give to much, the quest are fun most of the time. But I also agree with people who say you shouldn't be allowed to be everybody's champion. If this would be the case in game you would have to chose the daedra which fits your character. In this case this daedra could actually give you something usefull or some kind of choice of weapon or armor since it would have consequences if you just leave them for some random other prince. jhncanson Posted January 3, 2013 Author Share Posted January 3, 2013 It would still be a great idea(if this is what you meant), if somehow you could contact the daedric lords and tell them or even demand them(i saved nirn from utter destruction 3 times in a row) that they reforge their artifact. I could then use mehrune's razor as a bow and would then be named mehrune's bow. This would be a great idea for a mod.. but then id like to keep things lore-friendly and by lore friendly i mean that only features that are created by bethesda are legit. Most lords probably wouldn't give a damn, you're lucky enough to receive the artifact in the first place as far as they see it. This. The appearance of an artifact is based on the whims of the Daedra, NOT the PC. Molag isn't going to turn his mace into a sword just because the weilder is squeemish about crushing skulls. Their overall appearance changes to suit the particular, always changing tastes of the Daedra whose essance it is bound to. That said, Bethesda has a tendancy to make Daedric artifacts terribly underpowered, at least since Morrowind. In Daggerfall they were a lot harder to get ahold of and a lot better. I'd rather see them be more challenging to obtain, and rock socks, or more limited (bring back the Daedra rivalries, if you work for Boethia, Molag won't talk to you) and more powerful. For example: i was at the forgotten vale.. faced off with 2 revered dragons.. even my dragon mace does little damage so what i did? i shouted dragon-rend.. just waiting for my shout to reload as i cannot get near the dragon or he will 1 hit-kill move me.. getting hit by dragonrend the dragon seems to resist and flies in circle like it is rejecting that a shout can put him down hurting its dovah pride, now that its down in the ground ii used slow time and charged with my mehrune's and in no time the full hp revered dragon turned to bones. Shunsei Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 I used to think Spellbreaker was a useful artifact until i fought Alduin (I use the Requiem mod) I tried about 14 times to kill Alduin at the Throat of the World but died instantly by his Fire Breath shout and I realized I had Spellbreaker and i equipped it along with Dragonbane and charged in with all my might and this is what happens, I swing Dragonbane at it and a message pops up and says "Alduin resisted extra Dragon Damage" and then Alduin uses Fire Breath and I block but 2 seconds later my burnt lifeless body lay on the ground... I double checked the last Wayshrine at the Temple. its not located via wayshrines.. you get it through the paragon platform.. you need paragon gems.. and the shiels is located in lost vale forest which is entered through paragon platform with paragon ruby.. the ruby can be obtained in the inner sanctum with those frozen falmers.. at the first room.. i think its on a pedestal.. and oh.. there are also a hidden room there with treasures.. u need to put the ewer to unlock the sliding doors.
