Kurupt52 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Ive seen sreenies where the pipboy was nice and visiable, no lighting darkness or shadowed out so to speak. Does anyone know how that is done? Would really appreciate some help here, cuz i would really like to be able to see the damn thing lol.
Werewolf334 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Try holding down TAB for approximately 5 seconds to turn your pip boy light on. By the way: what light setting do you have; Bloom or HDR? Bloom I found has had problems with pip boy lighting and shadows for me
Werewolf334 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I also think that your quality setting affect the overall character detail in turn your pip boy and setting.... Not sure though, Anyone to prove this?
Kurupt52 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 yeah i hope not, my only real problem with this game is my craptastic processor (sempron), i got the ram and gcard, but the processor is where i gotta be careful
Michlo Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 yeah i hope not, my only real problem with this game is my craptastic processor (sempron), i got the ram and gcard, but the processor is where i gotta be careful How is yours displaying at the moment? If any of the previous suggestions don't help, I believe there are some PipBoy mods already which might, especially ones which deal with the textures. Good luck.
Werewolf334 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 I feel your pain, i have a sempron too, but I overclock at 3.2 GHz :D
Kurupt52 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Posted December 10, 2008 really dark, and very close up, tried to change the resolution, but it didnt help much. the close up thing isnt the big problem.. its just the lighting, cant see it unless its noon in the game and im outside in the wastes.
Werewolf334 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 for overall texture or lighting in game check your natural coloring first out of game. If you have something like NVIDIA nview, natural color pro, or some sort of lcd monitor or monitor color changing program be sure to change it back to your default settings. Such programs will darken a lot of things. Essentially, providing a screen shot of what it looks in your game would make it all the easier to help you.
Werewolf334 Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Lets hope it isn't hardware related (your video card giving out on you, or worse: your monitor) When monitors near the end of their life they can darken when playing games. When you plan on being idle (or away from the computer) turn off your monitor and when you return (for full effect atleast 30 minutes later) test it out in game :D
