Mod for "Caught in the Hunt"?

I get around to playing Oblivion every year, since it's come out, and every time I collide with the quest "Caught in the Hunt", which starts in Bravil, I get upset. It's the quest where Aleron Loche is locked in Fort Grief...

This quest gets my goat big time, mainly because it breaks one of my cardinal rules about tabletop gaming, too. (Years of being a GM, I guess.) It has a scripted event toward the end where the Orc bad guy (Kurdan gro-Dragol) kills Aleron after you've beaten his "hunt" -- you're stuck in place and can't do anything while this happens... because frankly, if I could move, I'd be in that Orc's face smashing it, or at least with my latest character, frying his face off with a lightning bolt. It's just bluntly scripted.

 

I would love to see a mod which changes this, specifically to give you a chance to rescue Aleron instead of being forced to watch him die. It's so blatantly, painfully scripted. I don't care if it's hard. I just want it to be possible. Yes, I know the Emperor dies similarly at the beginning, but that's the setup for the main plot, etc., etc. ...I can tolerate that one, barely. (I'm sure if I tried the same stunt in a D&D or GURPS game my players would be all over ways to rescue ol' Uriel though.) It just always bothered me to stand there because the game makes you stand there, but it really, REALLY bothers me with "Caught in the Hunt".

 

Anyway, I'm a terrible modder myself. I mean to get back to fiddling personally, but screaming kids have prevented me from playing a lot, let alone taking the time to mod. But I thought I would put this suggestion up here for others to read.
