morgium
Hello, since this is my first post i want to start with thanking everyone here for the obviously great community and the efforts many people put in helping each other.I looked on the forums for similar problems, since its hard for me to describe whats going wrong, i made a video to show you whats happening. When i play Skyrim, the Sky and distant Landscape occasionally flickers, but sometimes the textures go black and look totally corrupted for a few milliseconds.Have a look at the last 10 seconds of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ9EOprY0zM to see what i mean. My specs: Intel [email protected], 8GB OCZ Ram (which is working perfectly, i checked), Samsung SSD (checked this one also), and a new ATI Radeon HD 7850/1GB.Im running Skyrim under Windows 7/64Bit at 1920x1080, 4xAA, 16xAF.AA is set to Multisampling AA (not Adaptive) in the Driver Settings. If you need any more information, i will be happy to provide them. My Question is basically: Is the video Card broken, or is it a Software Issue (be that the driver or Skyrim or anything else?) I have similar Issues in Metro2033 i should add, but far from beeing this annoying (only when there's smoke and complex lighting, and i had that before i changed video cards as well, so im mainly interested in skyrim now) Thanks for your time in advance! steve40
If you are overclocking anything, don't.Make sure you are using the latest Catalyst driver from the ATI website.Make sure you have "Enable Surface Format Optimization" UNCHECKED in "Catalyst->3D Application Settings->Catalyst AI". Also try unchecking "Morphological Filtering".
