Fractalbase
I've started running into the false save corruption bug. The symptoms are: after a while, saves can't be loaded because Skyrim SE considers them corrupt. Also, NPC dialog options disappear or do not work when this happens. I've tried researching a fix. Supposedly "SSE Engine Fixes" resolves this issue, but I have that installed and I still have the issue. I tried uninstalling "SSE Fixes" as one post suggests, still no resolution. I even tried a few skyrim.ini tweaks which didn't fix the issue either. At least the work around of restarting Skyrim SE allows the game to be playable. But having to restart regularly is annoying and time-consuming. Does anyone have any insight on how to permanently fix this issue? my load order: https://pastebin.com/ZueqU1m5

That's why your game is broken.
Fractalbase
Why do you say my load order is a mess? I'm using Vortex, which sorts plugins with LOOT under the hood. I mostly have no problems playing the game, I have no CTDs, I actually have many hours of play time already. It's just that the "false save corruption" bug that "SSE Engine Fixes" crops up. I've seen several other posts that other people have still seen this occasional bug, even with "SSE Engine Fixes". I really don't think my load order is in any way a mess, it's sorted with LOOT. The rule of 1esm files never ever go bellow esp files.your depending too much on automation. In the Vertex program you need to set up the rules so your mods get sorted correctly.Your load order is far from correct, it's an absolute mess. Now, your free to argue the statement all you want but you won't get any help if you insist. Your here asking for help.I'm giving you that help. The mods are not correctly ordered period. All that can result from it is file corruption, your saved game file is a database. And it's broken. Just WOW ! 394 mods.Your lucky that game even runs at all. Edited May 26, 2020 by Purr4me
Fractalbase
Granted, there might be a few issues with my load order. But let me be clear. My save files are NOT corrupt. After time of gameplay, the "false save corruption" bug occurs, which makes Skyrim SE believe that all saves are corrupt. If I restart Skyrim, all saves load successfully. I have no CTDs to speak of, and the "false save corruption" bug doesn't occur that often. So I really and rarely have only 1 very minor issue. You can read more about the "false save corruption" bug here: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/8muxmd/sse_engine_fixes_now_with_fix_for_false_save/It just seems that you are focusing on your dislike of my load order and ignoring the actual issue. So I'll repeat: my save games are not broken or corrupt. That isn't the issue. If you do respond again, please read about the "false save corruption" bug first.Thanks.p.s. almost all posts where people talk about issues with their load order (which I'm *not* having) is that they should use LOOT to optimize their load order. Sounds like you're saying that I shouldn't do that.

Sounds like you're saying that I shouldn't do that.Nothing here from me is personal.Don't make it that way. I read all of that already...your particular circumstances are different.Generally speaking so your not feeling picked on ,the load order will always be a target for diagnostics. You got a bug, wanted to know where it being generated from ,that's where it is coming from.I have been active and doing this now for years.I remotely log on to other users PC's to assist them Directly when all else fails. I do Diagnostic tests.I set up PC's, configure their games correctly. But I have the choice to go that far. This is not a candidate for those actions. you need to confer with the Vortex team members or a support person for the program Vortex to sort out that issue. It's just a video game ,and yours is not configured correctly. that's all.it's generating those notices due to that fact. Again. It's not in any way personal...software has no feelings, it just does what's told to do regardless of the outcome.
Fractalbase
I didn't mean to make it personal, if I did, I apologize. I also don't require for you to login remotely or configure anything for me in that regard. But since you have years of experience determining that load order is probably the culprit, I'm willing to listen.I investigated and there are ways with Vortex to add load order rules to ensure certain load orders.I have added a few rules and revised my load order, it is now: https://pastebin.com/EXidNPWSAll ESMs occur first in the load order, except in the case of LegacyoftheDragonborn.esm, which had to allow Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp occur first because of a dependency according to Vortex.I don't need special remote intervention, but I hope you can see that I'm attempting to resolve any problems with my load order. The only specific thing that you mentioned though was that ESMs should occur first. If you have more specific comments on my load order, I'm willing to listen. Fractalbase
Actually, I have 568+ mods installed and enabled (I say plus because some are manually downloaded and installed, such as SKSE64).Of those, 252 are active plugins, slightly below the 255 active plugin max.And the rest of the 134 plugins are light.I'm not "lucky" that the game runs at all. I spent hours of time and effort configuring the mods that I decided to use.Except for the one occasional problem, the game runs very smoothly for me.What else of my load order would be considered a "mess"? I'm more than willing to listen to specifics.

Ifat all possible, run the game and see if those false bugs pop up. you can rename the extension of that patch reelecting a proper esm instead of an esp but leave it be for now.Test, test, test.=========there are tools now available to reduce the load order and also specialized tools used to see hidden conflicts not represented by the tools like xedit. But you need to now do game time running with the new assortment.you might be forced to start a fresh game too, that always tell the tale. NOTE: if any plugin stops the game cold from loading or audio runs on and on, it will be a plugin not set up correctly, there are instanceswhere you can't locate those bugs due to them being generated by combinations of incorrect code.----------------------------------your Rig has to be pretty nice to run that much stuff wit this game.but later on, you can learn the complex methods of merging a lot of lightweight mods to reduce the memory leaks. I recently upgraded my graphics card to an nvidia rtx 2070. I've run the game again for a bit. No new issues to speak of, I was able to continue from my most recent save without issue. However the dreaded false save corruption bug did occur. From this article: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/8muxmd/sse_engine_fixes_now_with_fix_for_false_save/"Per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/c-runtime-library/reference/setmaxstdio the max number of file handles the C stdio level can hold open by default is 512. Since SSE keeps an open file handle for all your plugins (including ones that aren't part of your load order) as well as some other important files, its possible to hit this limit on a heavy load order. Once you hit the limit all calls to fopen_s will start to fail, which means the game can no longer read new files. This causes, among other things, save game loads to report corrupted as the game is no longer capable of reading the save game files, a bug known as "false save corruption". The patch raises the limit to the system maximum (2048), which should be more than enough for 99.9% of use cases. Solving it any other way would require rewriting significant parts of SSE's file IO." This is the bug that I believe that I'm running into. I have SSE Engine Fixes installed, and this bug still occurs. I've read other posts of people with similar issues. If you have any insights into this bug and how to fix it, or other ways to improve my load order, I'm all ears.
