Problem using Injectors and Nvidia Inspector

The main purpose I had for using injectors and overriding the application settings was to not use the in-game MSAA, and use an injector that forced SMAA or some other method that wasn't as resource hungry in comparison to the provided in-game options. However, means of attempting to do this feat have been unsuccessful. So far I have tried:

  • Nvidia Inspector (NI)
  • SMAA Injector
  • SweetFx
  • FXAA Injector

While using an Injector, it will CTD without popping up an error. With NI, it will not force the settings. I have tried various means, and have followed steps with precision.

Anyone else having this issue? It's working for some, but also not working for others. I'm tempted to try downsampling, but I heard it is very resource heavy--and I don't think my i5 2500k + gtx 570 can handle it without losing precious frames (average around 50 with ultra settings and 2xMSAA).

Not sure if this helps but FXAA via injector was working perfectly for a while and the 1.04 patch broke it. I verified that patch is the current item that breaks FXAA by reinstalling the game with no patches, verifying FXAA and doing one patch at a time until it broke. What does UBI have against FXAA?
