I want to put paintings made by some people in the mod I'm helping develop. But when I make the painting into a dds file, it won't attach to the mesh properly. I size it to the same size the original texture was and make it a texture set. How can I fix this? And you might have to break down your answers into child speak, since I really know nothing about meshes and textures, I'm an interior and exterior decorator for the mod.

I attached a couple of images to try to show what's happening.

I'm guessing that's because several meshes share the same texture (dds file), each mesh using a different portion of the file. That could easily be fixed by editing the UV map of the said mesh, to capture the whole texture. This is done with any modeling software, but would require some skill in using it.

Your best bet would probably be to fit your custom texture into the original texture, placing it at the exact same portion the mesh uses (resizing and rotating where needed). Not the best solution, albeit the simplest. Hope that helps.

I guess I'd have to do the modelling option. I tried the other solution already. I've done this with a couple other pieces already, but the artwork is the one that seems to be giving me trouble.

I generally tend to avoid using texture sets.

If you like, I'd be happy to help you fix it (no biggie, really - shouldn't take more than two minutes). Please PM me if interested.
