K00L
So... First off, I still have my old computer. So my CPU is probably pushing it with the majority of games I own. Here's the specs (well at least anything that would have anything to do with this. That I know of): Operating System : Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3DirectX Version : DirectX 9.0cProcessor : Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHzGraphics Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 TiRAM : 3GB Okay so the cutscenes(and I believe its only full blown cutscenes. Like the intro videos for Dark Souls, Darksiders, Divinity 2, and KoA or at the beginning of Two Worlds when Cassara shows the vision) are lagging (video and audio stuttering) in:Dark SoulsDarksidersTwo Worlds 2Divinity 2Kingdoms of Amalur I'm fairly certain it has to do with my processor. I have the required amount of RAM for most games, my graphics card is good... XP supposedly is fine for all these games which means DirectX 9 has to be fine as well. Anyway I don't know for sure what is causing this (or if it can be easily remedied) and I've tried googling it for each individual game but I can't really find anything helpful.Any help is appreciated. Again. :P Edit: Probably worth mentioning they run fine if I play some of them OUTSIDE the game (Dark Souls and Two Worlds for example). Also everything is up to date (or at least as up to date as they can get for XP) on my computer as far as I can tell. RitualBlack
The only game I have had a that problem in with was 'The Witcher 2' so the only advice I could give you would be to see if turning on v.sync does anything. That is what fixed it for me. The actual gameplay in the Witcher 2 was very smooth for me, it was just the cinematics and kill cams that were choppy without v.sync. The problem is similar to what you described even though it is a different game.
K00L
I read that someone said turning on v. sync fixed it made it better for one of these games just a little bit after posting this. I'll have to go try that. Edit: Just tried it and while its not nearly as bad as before it still stutters a bit. Makes things that happen in cutscenes understandable at least. Thank you xD Edited January 3, 2013 by K00L
