agentg88
I don't know where to put the mods. I have it in the Fallout New Vegas file, but nothing specific. The file with Music, Shaders, Sound, etc. For this specific one, I'm trying to install the Wave Radio mod. Where do I put it? But not just that, where would I put different kinds of mods? Where would I put an armor mod or a quest mod?(P.S. I'm playing the Steam version.) Edited January 3, 2013 by agentg88
Xaranth
All mods go in the same place: your Fallout New Vegas Data directory. this is in your steam directory (Default C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\) under \steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\data\ The archive you download from the nexus will include either a .fomod file or a data structure. If it's a fomod file, you need to put it in your fallout mod manager/nexus mod manager package directory and use the FO/NMM package manager to install it. If it's a data structure, you simply have to extract the folder structure, including esps, esms, and bsas, to the data directory, then merge the folders. Let me have a look at Wave Radio... I see wave radio has an archive structure WaveRadio.7z\Wave Radio\Data\, with two other entries in the Wave Radio folder in the archive. You want to open up the DATA folder in the ARCHIVE, then extract the contents of that to your Fallout New Vegas Data directory, selecting Merge Folders and Overwrite whenever windows prompts you for action. Alternatively, you can just extract the data folder into your fallout new vegas directory, again choosing merge and overwrite.
