While playing fallout 4 i get around 40-50 fps average with V-Sync and my game is limited to 60fps and without any sort of lag or indication my game is about to crash it just goes without any indication why, it is usually random ranging from 10minutes of gametime to 5 hours of gametime and its really annoying, any help would be greatly appreciated

Computer Specs are:

On the page for the Intel ByPass drivers, there in the thread you will find a package I provided for a different setup and hardware's

It very well could be the graphics card you own. not all PC's can handle the load this game put's on them.

the file I gave to you was just so you could get back into that game, now, if you installed anything into fo4 that requires other mods or software "dependencies" then the game might crash a lot.

I just a few hours ago finished resetting up another user from here over on discord due to system wide lacking of updates for his operating system.

On steam, if you have that game from steam, search for Booster 7, grab the free edition if you don't want to buy it, the full version provide all the graphics drivers and game enhancement you need for fallout 4 , Skyrim second edition and so on.

once you actually get to that point that program should fix the issues I assume your having.

Now 1 other thing, a lot of the newer graphics cards come with gaming software and installing that might help If you have such a thing, they in turn put a system graphics card configuration in the systems tray on the task bar. you go into that and set up the card for that game, and magic will happen.

This strictly deals with FPS issues.

Ok so what method are you running the game ,a little history helps us help you.

is it MO2 or Vortex Or Bethesda in game installer or what?

How are the mods sorted?

ya know, things like that.

I used Nexus Mod Manager (i know ima get s*** for that) cause im too lazy to update to vortex or MO2 but i do use loot to organise my load order,

ok under the right circumstance's Loot is ok, it's just not really something to soul rely upon.

I do in fact support loot but don't tell anyone LOL

True.

I am currently setting up my fo4 MO2 install and mod assortment so I can deal with bugs that arrive from ...well bad load orders.

All the mods I use at the moment are strictly from the games own menu downloader .It gets complicated how I do things but believe me, I have my reasons.

No, Not gonna knock your choices of manager ,Just make sure I get all the pertinent information so I can help you.

Don't leave anything out regardless of how trivial..

This is what I am doing to sort data, this is only the first basic setup, I still am going to be sorting the left to match the right to remove doubts of Loot arranging the files correctly.

So If you ever decide to take the plunge and get something more reliable? this is a good way to start out.

And here is what stage two looks like, this is prior to checking out Loose files formats, in other words all the data is currently hidden in bsa2 files. Those will need to be extracted and Inspected. Not required but helps to analyze things with a better perspective.

No bodies really watching this thread so I'll just post for your benefit.

The term "extraction" is not by any means extracting the bsa2 archives.

the term applies only to the use from the kit's during a recombine process.

People will use the "FO4Edit.exe to view and edit files with.

In a raw state, the xedit thing will show massive errors when it loads.

Now, I'll tell you why and how to remove loading errors for that program.

When people read the screen, they will be confused by what they see, and that confusion leads to very Big Fat mistakes.

The reason those error are seen is due to the fact that the process is NOT finding the assets the code is calling for in the first place.

So, you need to extract Only that exact data and no more.

In the above tool set with a fully update Creation kit 64-bit.. you pick a fairly large mod that you can load to enable this process to work correctly.

This is an actual Development stage.../ A practice I see no one follows.

So now at least people willing to listen will know how the Dev's built the game.

For this instance I chose a badly made mod I downloaded from the menu application OF the fo4 game while running. "agnisnikacola01" I think it's on the Bethesda website.

I'll show you the exact layout so you do not pull into the process others materials and get into trouble.

you make active this file first and allow it to load, Be patient.

then you double click on the first interior world space and allow IT to fully load. Touch nothing else. just wait.

Now you select this and walk away from the machine, it will seem as though nothings going on / happening, but Believe me, it is.

If the kit shuts down? that's normal it only means it's done.

Now the files you need through the MO 2 application will be found in it's overwrite folder.

there will be two folders, 1 is used for the PC game, the other will be labeled PS4 <----- YOU NEED BOTH !

Move them out and create within each folder I have shown you here in this applications lay out, folder names and sub folders names, in every folder you see in my setup here.

ok first shot:

Precombine-extraction-process.jpg

That will get the ball rolling.

second shot <-- this is the exact layout you need to have.

Preped-Layout.jpg

This produces all the required data the FO4Edit program complains about, any other weird errors will be mod specific and you will need to deal with.

This is why there are so many people having problems.

Provide the resources BEFORE you mod always first.
