Fallout 3 Freeze Problem

I know this Problem is everywhere. I already read a lot of Topic's with fixes and this things.

But first my Problem:

When I start Fallout 3 GOTY Edition with the normal Launcher/Fose it freeze after a few Minutes. I deaktivate all Mods. Same Thing.

I change in the Fallout.ini:

bUseThreadedAI=1

iNumHWThreads=2

But it still freeze. So I google this Problem but nobody can give me a fix. But i hope that this Forum full of Fallout 3 Fans can help me.

Problem solved. Just start it as Administrator.

I see you've fixed your problem. :)

 

I would add that if you still have freezing & you've added those two lines, make sure you've edited the correct .ini file as there are two. There's one in the Fallout 3 folder called Fallout_default.ini.

 

The one you want to change is:

 

For XP:

 

My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\

 

For Vista & Win7:

 

Documents\My Games\Fallout3

 

The file you want will be called:

 

FALLOUT.ini

 

Open the .ini with Notepad & change this line:

 

bUseThreadedAI=0

 

to:

 

bUseThreadedAI=1

 

& insert this line under it:

 

iNumHWThreads=2

 

Save & close your ini.
