Indabeetee
Just a few ideas... The one thing I have always thought would be quite a challenge and good fun to do with oblivion would be to make Einstein head of the mages guild, with a lab off some super whacky stuff - like (007-stuff) like one idea of mine would be a strap on flying wing machine that can really fly in-game up to the ceiling of the game level sky, & then like when walking, it just loads the next "game box area" and retains its altitude. Imagine the cool battle scenes you could have inside the oblivion gates, or when attacking with some serious fire-power from the sky. It could possibly be catagorized & worn as cuirass-armor with a wing machine on the rear, that works by punching while running and could also have a Aeronautic skill system, based on things like flight speed, capable altitude & item storage space, including a guided weapons systems with upgrades like how many cross-bows can be straped to each wing for in-flight aerial attacks - and then later, a missile system and A-bomb for the Master level...wow... But then we would probably have to considder making Hiss-ler the fuerer of the Necromancers commanding german zombies on german battleships and doing something simillar for them so that the rest of the in-game characters stand a chance against the newly appointed "Flying Einstein batallion of the Anvil Mages Guild"...I see that many people have already introduced ships into the game - this could really go far in the sense of launching full-on sea & arial battles with flying machines, ships, cannons and hand to hand battles on the docks of Anvil in a saga: "Hisslers Onslaught of Anvil" where the goodies (mages guild aerial batallion) fight Hisslers & his legion of the dead from WWII, german zombies he has re-animated from the grave with the black arts....or something allong those lines... Another idea that just sprung from my tea-cup, is that it would be nice if Nexus could also maybe launch this as a "contributors competition", for the pizes being, that all the contributors who's work was finally chosen by an appointed group of Nexus Judges, could each be properly rewarded financially (finally!) for their work in whatever "category" they won (and there can be many categories of content escpecially made up for this purpose), rewarding all those who partake in providing the best drawn / modded / programmed finally chosen content. One could use this saga in view to a future game expansion release and then by pre-agreement offer it back to Bethesta, or to whoever presently holds the rights for the game. I mean, who would not release a new game of which the content of the entire game is from their own customers? - by doing this they make everyone just love them so much more, its fantastic publicity all round, it will totally empower Nexus financially and I am shure that if the subject is approached with Bethesta in this business manner, by Nexus to Bethesta in a pre agreement to do this esscpecially for Bethesta's own customers for a customer content release of their games and setting a decent total prize money for all the pre-sellected categories of the competition with bethesta, for rewarding their customers, we will all buy the game again... I mean, I most certainly will, this would also be such a nice thing for the Nexus site to do as a "player contribution release" or to whoever presently holds the rights for the game, seeing that everyone relys on donations. Nexus could see what they could negotiate in shareholder ownership of the specific release from all of its contributors and a sales agreement can be set up where Nexus will basically receive life-long payments every year as dividents for it from Bethesta and then they can divide all the profit between all of those Nexus members according to each individuals cvontributions to the game, which could also be life-long - wow, what an investment idea for everyone win-win all round, in that way all their hard previous work could also "indirectly" be rewarded with quite a bit of cash, as a lot of the the stuff that would be needed to do this already exists, the topics, items, Objects, characters, some scripts, even ships & relevant furniture and many quests with the already finished characters like "Captain Jack Sparrow", many of the new game items do not have to be newly created, but maybe just perfected by their contributors and can be used from members "already released" material. In that way Nexus and the entire Nexus comunity can now still be rewarded in hindsite, and also receive public and posibly media recognition for their work... Have to end it here guys, sorry... my medievel Oblivion keyboard just ran out of ink, its starting to blotsh now - see ... <><><><><><><><><><><><><>< going to Anvil to buy some more ink for it and will think of some more ideas for this on my way there - it will be a long and adventurous walk... my horse got eaten by mountain lions an hour ago...will have to stop off at the stables on my way...
