spuzzmonkeys
I have already beaten the game with a character and now play with a new one. Is there any way to import my first character into the game as an NPC?
TheGreenLion
Yep, it's pretty easy too. Just load up the game with the character you wish to copy. Then open the console with the ' ~ ' key, and type in spf *your character's name* and it will create a .npc file in your Skyrim folder with the name you typed in. There won't be any confirmation message. Then, I would recommend using a tutorial (youtube or otherwise if you haven't made an NPC before) for creating a follower or whatever other NPC you might want with the Creation Kit. Once you've got that down you use the .npc file that you generated earlier in the Character Gen Parts tab when editing your NPC. In the upper right section there is a button called "Import", click that and choose the .npc file and it will recreate your character's appearance. Save your .esp at this point. It is very important to then go to the Object Window under Actors, find your NPC that you've made and highlight their name in the Object Window. Once highlighted, hold 'ctrl' and press 'F4' and it will ask if you want to export the FaceGenData for all selected NPCs. Click yes, give it a moment and it will confirm when it is done. Then, all you need to do is save your progress and put your NPC into the world somewhere. Make sure your new .esp file is selected and start your game. You should be able to find your new NPC where you've placed them. I hope that helps! Edited January 4, 2013 by TheGreenLion
