Shooting down Enclave Helicopters?

Has anyone been able to shoot down one of the Enclave's helicopters? I've gotten a few missiles off at it and made it burn, but that doesn't seem to slow it down. Anyone have a screen shot of one going down mid-air? That'd be sweet.

 

Also, any way to predict when and where they're gonna show up? Plus, increase the frequency of encounters? I like battling those guys.

alot of things in game are unaffected by shooting, I made a rant about it earlier on the oblivion vs fallout thread...

 

I should be able to shoot a hula dancer or lab equipment off a desk.... :(

The Gatling Laser (and especially Vengeance) takes them down fairly quickly. I'll try to get a screenshot of it.

A missile launcher does a fairly good job when they are on the ground :)

The plasma rifle works pretty well when they are touching down, I've dropped a couple in the air using the laser rifle.

I blew out of the sky while finishing the final quest , with a rocket launcher it can be done, its easier on the ground though!

Using 'Enclave Commander', I had one come in for a pickup, and I watched it get blown to hell out of nowhere... Pieces and parts falling out of the sky. Was at Meresti Trainyard... I think maybe the local SuperMutie camp at the nearby church may have tagged it on the way in... even though I'd flown in and out of there dozens of times, before. (Had my weapons and armor stash in the trash bins, there.)

flown ? you can fly them as well ? how do you get to that stage ?
