cowmasterstudios
I want to create a Custom Indoor Environment complete with props made by myself in Maya. My goal is to create a little shack complete with a NPC that will give you a brand new quest to tackle. But first thing is first... figuring out how to get my Maya Prop Models in the GECK to play with. I am a Game Designer and Environment Artist graduate so I know to keep the scale of my mod down so it can be completed. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a way (or knows of tutorials) that can tell me how to get my own custom props (Diffuse and Normal Maps) into the GECK to place in my custom scene. Thanks all :D I hope to create a fun MOD for you all soon!

dasqoot
I only know how to use Maya as well, but for an interior I would really go with max or blender. Maya can only export base and glow textures and deforms. That's it. The other 2 can export Base & Glow & EnvMap & Bump & Gloss & Dark & Detail, as well as preset cameras and collision maps. I think fudging collision maps in nifskope is pretty hit or miss, so being able to export one would help a lot.
