icemanx7
Hi i recently started to mod skyrim. I only have about 10 or so mods. I wanted to know how i can avoid CTD`s and errors when i start to install more mods. Also what are some of the must have mods. And how should my load order be. I have hearthfire and dawngaurd DLC`s. The mods i currently have: A Quality World map SkyUI HiAlgoFPSBoost LOTR Weapons Collection Immersive weapons Lost Long swords The Unofficial patches for all three games. And then i have the 2K texture packs. The lite and Full version.(What version do you guys use) Moonpath to elsweyr Enhanced Blood Textures I use Nexus Mod manager and have wyre bash installed. But dont know how to use. So are there any other great mods. And any tips on modding will be great. Thanks
Eckss
Hi, I expected quite a few of these 'What Mods' questions so I saved this answer so that I can answer consistently each time without leaving any out: I play with a lot of Mods and I've tried and rejected many others. I use all of these (among others) and I'm sure they’re all Must Have/Worth Having. Yogo
Try to prototype your ideas before implementing all the details. For example if you have some great scripting idea, try to make a simplified version and check if Papyrus supports it and then if it actually works in game. This could save days of modding work :) As for mods I'd recommend compact player house: "Rayeks End - Mini Hideout" and great looking armor for spellcasting heroes: "Tribunal robes and masks". And there is also: "STEP - Skyrim Total Enhancement Project" which contains links to dozens of great mods with short descriptions and recommendations.
