Alexander the Great
The group had made it to the camping spot. Sorrion set up his own blanket/cloak under a large oak tree. It had deep roots and seemed very old. He settled between two huge roots at the base of the tree and he at a few roots that he new to be quite tasty. He saw some sort of glare, it must have been the sun. Oh well. Time for a night of sleep and hopefully we can suceed in making the trip quickly in the following days. If nothing happens of course. Eiade
OOC: I guess we've arrived at the campsite. IC: When they arrived at their site, Eiade began collected sticks and logs for firewood. Once she had a moderate amount, she placed them in a pyramid, and, using her natural wood elf survival skills, lit a fire using two rocks. She then sat down against a tree, and warmed her hands. Hir_Nesta
Seraph woke up. The smell of fire and smoke came into his nose. He looked around and became aware of some People sitting around a fire not far from his tree. "Still far enough" he thought by himself. He fumbled around. "Here it is..." he said to himself. The staff was wrapped in cloth. Seraph unwrapped the Staff and laid it in his hands; nothing happened. While he was taking a good look at it he mumbled to himself: "Mmh fine work...I surpassed myself indeed...it's been a long time...". During his discursiveness he felt how his stomach revoluted against him. "Well, let's see what the others have to offer..." And so he waited for the party to sleep... Fishystick
Tarkél had wandered off into the forest when they arrived, but when he saw the light from the fire, he came to sit next to Eiade. The sun was only a small thread of light near the horizon, and it was getting pretty cold outside, though the campfire offered some light and warmth(right?). "Bloody cold out in the forest these days", said Tarkél and rubbed his hands in front of the campfire. "Do you travel much?", he asked Eiade. Élsúch was laying(laying, lying, whatever) on the ground near the fire, with his cape under his head. He had his bow and five long, white arrows laying(again damnit) next to him, one hand on the bowstring.
Eiade
"Hmm... The only travelling I do is between towns. I don't go on many adventures like this. If I'm not being paid as an entertainer for a bar, I'm doing odd jobs and small missions for people. It's not exactly the jackpot in cash, but I like what I do." Eiade saw something in the field across the path from them with her keen bosmer eyes."Excuse me for a second, Tarkel."She got up, and ventured into the large clearing, spotted with wildflowers and tall weeds. She saw a large black shape in the middle of the field. It was undistinguishable in the dark as to what it was, until she walked up to it. It was a dead shalk, those huge beetles. Idea. She pulled out a throwing dagger and began cutting away around the thing's shell. Eventually she pulled the hard shell off of the insect. She had seen in many taverns that the native dunmer used these things to cook on. They were beetles from the ashlands, and they were extremely resistant to fire, so their shells made excellent pans. She trotted back to the camp with it. Eiade placed the shell over the fire, and poured water into the pan. Once it was simmering, she used her throwing knife once again to cut up pieces of hound meat and toss them in. She also added saltrice and slices of scuttle. The stew began to develop a good smell that roused everyone's taste buds. She added much more saltrice, which thickened the stew into more of a paste (remember there's not that much water in it) with chunks of meat. She added diced bittergreen petals, and began to stir it with a stick. She then sat down next to Tarkel once again to let it simmer for a while. "You guys must be hungry," she said. "We haven't eaten since this morning after the battle with Luthin." While she was waiting, she pulled out the kresh fiber that she had been collecting on the way the Gnisis, and began weaving the strands into a braid. "So... where do you live?" She asked Tarkel. OOC: I think everyone in the campfire right now should feel free to talk to eachother and be merry. This is a time to allow for some good role-playing and character interaction, as well as everyone finally getting to know eachother.
UberBender
OOC: @Eiade I thought Bittergreen was poisen. Correct me if I'm wrong. Duriel took this time to get a little rest, he had been jumping around for a while without sleep. He started to dream... Duriel was running with a large sack of gold in his claws. Several guards were chasing him. "Catch that dirty thief" They yelled after him. He ducked into a dark corner and the guards ran by, thinking he had gone around the next corner. Just then someone struck him in the back of the head. He looked up from the ground to see who his attacker was. It was a tough looking Dark Elf, someone he did not want to fight. "If you know what's good for you, you will quit the puny Thieves Guild and come join the Hllalu. We will give you three days to think about it. You will join or run for the rest of your life. Your choice." With that the Dark Elf kicked Duriel in the skull and Duriel blacked out.
Evilsincarnation
OOC: Glass has a high enchant rate, thus making it a good thing to enchanct to protect from magica. Thats why we need armour. Plus, its till hurst to get by a sharp object. The two elves appeared ina forest on the southern side of Vvardenfel and sat down in the camp they had constructed before they went to Ald-rhun. "So, how are we planning on finding this staff, these people could be anywhere on the planet." said Katar. "I know how we can find them." replied Arodom as he laughed quietly. Fishystick
Tarkél watched the food with empty eyes for a few seconds, then turned towards Eiade again. "I did live in the forest where you found us, in a huge city, built on ancient trees, it was an odd place, but it was home.." Tarkél turned away and looked right into the dark forest. "I don't think the city had a real name, but it was the most wonderful city one could imagine. Green huts built in high trees, long wooden bridges going from tree to tree.. it was wonderful." He turned to Eiade again. "What happened then?", she asked him. Tarkél looked deep into her eyes for about ten seconds before he answered. "Two nights, this mage, necromancer actually, came to the city followed by nine men wearing black capes with hoods. One of the guards asked him what he wanted. The necroamncer turned to him, pulled out a red jewel of some sort, then the guard started to burn. it was horrible, the man and his nine henchmen slaughtered almost the entiry city before the night was over." Tarkél turned against the campfire as he continued. "Seven of us survived that night, seven of almost six hundred. We fled into the forest surrounding the city and Élsúch started to lead us towards the point where you found us. Two of our companions died the following night, slayed by one of the cloaked men. The night before we met you, two others were slayed, and.. well, you all saw what happened to lamtár.." Tarkél turned to Eiade once again, this time he was trying to look unbothered about the whole story. "Where do you live then?" Suddenly, Élsúch jumped to his feet, looked into the forest and then walked to Duriel. "Duriel, wake up.. wake up damnit!", he woke the sleeping khajit. "Can you hear something? I think the staff is around here somewhere." Duriel listened carefully, then nodded(right?). "Damnit, I knew it!", shouted Élsúch and ran into the forest. Eiade
OOC: I don't think bittergreen is poisonous. In the Morag Tong quest, you are given treated bittergreen petals. Those surely are poisonous. If it was poisonous, its first effect would be harmful right? But the first effect is restore intelligence. IC: Eiade perked up upon Elsuch's episode."We will continue this conversation later. Now follow Elsuch with me. Tell me of a better way to search a forest than with three wood elves."She got up and immediately followed Elsuch into the woods. She cast Shadowweave on herself with her ring, giving her chameleon and sanctuary. Upon reaching the edge of the woods, she skillfully jumped and climbed into a tree, and travelled through the forest by means of the trees, using her adept acrobatic skills to jump and climb from tree to tree and survey the grounds below.
