No giant spiders, unless they're genuinely unique creatures.

Aye, a fair point.

Hmm.

You know the kind of wasp that lays eggs on paralyzed spiders, the eggs hatch, and the wasp young eat the spider alive?

What if there was, say, a mutated form, a twisted spider monstrosity with a living wasp fused to its back, buzzing madly. It attacks in a frenzy, biting and stinging at random. Others, perhaps, explode into three or four infant giant wasps.

Squirrell and iguana... In order to explain the menus...

I would find it amusing if squirrel were twelve foot tall killing machines. And Iguanas were roughly the size of pigs, and behaved in a similar fashion.

Mutant goats would be neat. Give them extra legs, or more horns, or fifteen eyes, but aside from that have them still be mostly goats.

Mutant cats, mutant rats. Rats in various sizes from normal up to the size of dogs would be neat.

Possums, Badgers, Woodchucks, Squirrels, Gophers, and so forth. Make them a little bigger or give them more legs or antenna or whatever, and set them to prowl around eating corpses, filching shiny things, and what have you.

Crows, ravens, magpies, gulls, hawks, kites, and Bald Eagles.

Black bears, a smaller, less agressive Yao Gaui.

Some sort of large, agressive monitor lizard.

Outsized mutant Lions or Tigers, escaped from zoos and breeding in the wild.

Pygmy elephants.

Psychic pigs.

Sheep, or some other wool producing animal. have them explode violently when disturbed.

Ghoul versions of animals.

a spider with a stinger? those are scorpions. But if you think you can actually get the abomination-wasp working go for it. I was thinking some freaky, barely functioning spider with legs growing out of its head that glows neon green.

The Yao Gaui's are black bears. If you take it a step up you wind up with mutant Grizzlies with 6 arms. I do like the idea of adding Wanamingos, demon goats, and ghoul dogs.

I just don't think everything should be a huge, killer, man-eating ___. There should be more things that just act like wildlife. Lizards, snakes, etc. There are already wild dogs, but I'd imagine in a post-nuke DC there'd probably be a lot feral cats running around too.

The spider/wasp talk has given me an idea, giant spider that have wasp eggs on their backs that when killed release four or five mutant wasps. It would definetly be a difficult enemy and would be extremly disturbing.

Edit: The poster above me had a good point, put some mutant sharks in the water between Arlington and Rivet City.
