So... I've had to run DynDOLOD a number of times in order to get my the tree LODs to looks right. Using Enhanced Vanilla Trees, I got confused on just what exact order is everything supposed to go in. So after I got that right, I had to figgle with the tree LOD darkness setting in DynDOLOD until I got the correct darkness for my ENB.

After succeeding with that, I ran from Whiterun to Riverwood. Crash. A window opens from crash fixes explaining that the game crashes "because of an Object Reference with form ID (it's something different every time) base form idea (different every time) and type 0x22 failed to produced loaded node most likely due to corrupt mesh or other reasons"

Okay... I've taken those IDs to TES5Edit, found them, inspected the meshes, found nothing wrong, deleted them anyway, and the game still crashes, only producing the same error message with a new ID to blame each time. Removing a mesh only and causes a different one to make the game crash.

Like I said, I've ran DynDOLOD several times, only changing tree LOD darkness, and trying different billboards. Nothing mesh-related other than ticking the "High" button on DynDOLOD. But this only came up the last time I ran it. Disabling the DynDOLOD.esp stops the crashing, but introduces all kinds of incorrect or missing models in the game (buildings are gone from Winterhold, for example).

So, what I'd like to know is... CAN DynDOLOD produce a bad .esp? And is it normal for TES5Edit to look like it does in my screenshot after DynDOLOD has been ran?

I think I found the problem later this morning. The BSA for No Snow Under The Roof had gone AWOL somehow. No crashes yet after replacing its BSA.
